OUT WITH THE OLD IN WITH THE NEW.
My new car came in today. I'm giving Blue to my Uncle who probably needs it more than I do. I'm pretty sad to see her go, actually. I've driven her from as far as San Diego to most areas in the Los Angeles COUNTY. Lots of memories were made inside of Blue Lightning. She was Mexi-packed junior and freshman years when I charged rich Brentwood freshmen 1.50 a way to and from school for my "gas" money...when it really covered my gas AND THEN SOME (probably a hundreds tee or a movie at the grove.) A gaping hole was created in Blue's roof and I had to get it re-upholstered. She kicks after switching to 2nd gear and does not pass 4th, but she has a MEAN turning radius. The moonroof proved to be useful in the sweltering summer heat and for star gazing. My departure from my baby Blue surely is leaving me heavy-hearted, but I'm not sweatin' it because there will only be a plethora of more memories to come in the newnew....BLACK ANGUS.
